Week 6: Hallie Picker

This is Hallie's Picker. Everything that is of a red hue is for the right side and everything that is a blue/purple hue is a button for the left side. The light green buttons at the bottom are the bendy controls. The main body/spine is yellow and there are also dark green controls for the sub controls of the spine. I've also included buttons for selecting the geo of the arms, feet, ang nubs. This is helpful when you want to turn them off and focus on the spine. There is also a button to select the full body and full face. This is helpful for the blocking stage of animation when you want to key the entire body for a key pose or breakdown.

Week 6: Plan

My plan for week 6 is to continue to work on layouts and adjust already assigned layouts for SC05, SH25-29. I also plan to make a picker for Hallie's rig using the Animschool picker. I will also be using a color scheme based on the color of the control curves so it's easy to understand what button is connected to what curve.

Week 5: Layout for Shot 4, Scenes 18-23

Week 5: Hallie Pose Tests

Week 5: Animation Workflow Tips

This week I finished the Animation Workflow Tips pdf I have been writing and shared it with my team in the collabspace in the Documentation and Organization folder.

Week 5: Plan

For week 5, I plan to continue to work on layout for the film. As more sets are created, I will do the layout for them using the final models of characters that are created. Also, during this week I plan to finish a animation workflow tips document that I am writing. I decided to write this early on so that when we get to animation everyone will be hopefully on the same page in terms of quality. In the document I detail out my work for different types of animation including body mechanics, close up, cartoony, facial, etc. I've also added a resources section at the bottom where someone will be able to find articles and videos about a wide range of animation related topics. This includes topics like the graph editor, polish, smear frames, acting, weight, contrast, etc. Again, the goal is for all of us to become better at animation so that the film is consistent in quality/style and we can all have someone great to show on a reel.

Week 4: Comb Jellyfish Rig

During week 4 I also connected the blendshapes of the Comb Jellyfish to a curve with controllable sliders in the channel box.
